Team Fiji vacancies: General Managers

2027 Pacific Games, Tahiti (23 July – 07 August 2027)

FASANOC invites applications for the positions of General Managers to join its volunteer management team to assist the respective Chef de Missions in Team Fiji's preparation and participation at the following Games:

Team Fiji will participate in the following sports:

Pacific Games, Tahiti, 23 July – 07 August 2027
Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball Men & Women, Boxing, Cycling-Road, Football Men & Women, Beach Volleyball Men & Women, Golf Men & Women, Judo, Powerlifting, Rugby 7s Men & Women, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Surfing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Va’a and Weightlifting.

The main objective for Team Fiji is to ensure that our athletes access opportunities and support services they need to produce medal winning performances at these Games.

These positions represent a unique and challenging opportunity. We are looking for people with experience in similar positions with strong motivational, high-level management, excellent communication skills who are team players.

Duties

Duties of General Managers for Team Fiji include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide support and direction to a group of allocated Team Managers, who are each responsible for their sport’s preparation and participation at the Games;
• Assist in overseeing the planning and preparation phases for their allocated sports;
• Assist in coordinating efforts to meet the needs of athletes, coaches, officials and trainers, and to minimise or avoid potential problems before, during and after the Games;
• Provide administrative support to the Chef de Mission as required.

Requirements

Requirements for General Managers for Team Fiji include:

• Must have completed the Oceania Sport Education Program (OSEP) Team Managers Course or equivalent (completion certificate to be produced)
• Must be fully vaccinated (proof of vaccination to be produced)

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a full medical examination.

Team Fiji Management personnel serve on the understanding that the positions are entirely voluntary, but is supported by full time staff.
