2026 FASANOC Athletes Commission Forum

To ensure athletes from across Fiji have the opportunity to participate, the Athletes’ Commission will also be hosting a Western Division Forum in Nadi, with details to be shared shortly. Athletes may register for the forum location most convenient to them.

The Athletes’ Commission Forum is an opportunity to bring athletes from across Fiji together to connect, share experiences, and have meaningful conversations about the issues that matter to athletes.

We are inviting:

• National Federation Athlete Representatives;
• Athletes who are interested in taking on an advocacy or leadership role within their sport; and
• Any athlete who is passionate about improving the experience and opportunities of athletes, both within their own sport and across Fiji’s sporting community.

Action required from National Federations

We kindly ask each National Federation to:

• Confirm or nominate their Athlete Representative(s) using the Athlete Representative Nomination Form;
• Identify one additional athlete from their sport who would benefit from participating in the Forum; and
• Share the registration link below with both athletes so they can register their attendance directly and select their preferred forum location.

Why should athletes attend?

Because meaningful change starts with athletes being willing to speak up, listen to one another, and work together.

The Forum will provide a platform to:

• Share experiences and perspectives from different sports;
• Discuss common challenges and opportunities facing athletes;
• Identify issues that require greater athlete representation and advocacy;
• Explore ways athletes can have a stronger voice within their National Federations and the wider sporting system;
• Connect with other athletes who are passionate about leadership and advocacy; and
• Contribute ideas towards building a stronger, more supportive sporting environment for athletes in Fiji.

This Forum is about creating a space where athletes can speak openly, listen to different perspectives, and work collectively towards solutions.

We encourage National Federations to share this invitation with their Athlete Representatives and identified athletes as soon as possible.

We look forward to bringing athletes from across Fiji together and strengthening the athlete voice within our sporting community.
