FASANOC Seeks ACE Project Officer

The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC), is the umbrella body for 38 National Federations of Sport and the body authorized to send Team Fiji to the Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games. We are seeking to recruit an Athletes and Community Engagement (ACE) Project Officer, based at Fiji Olympic House, 17 Bau Street, Flagstaff, Suva, Fiji.

The position reports to the Program Coordinator and key responsibilities are:

Project Management
Coordination with FASANOC Commissions
Coordination with Stakeholders
Support ACE Champions and Volunteers
Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting
Representation

The ACE Program is an advocacy program which focuses on the promotion of healthy life styles, particularly the prevention of NCDs and other health concerns, campaign for drug free sport, care for the environment, gender based violence, equity and leadership. We are looking for someone with the following:

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on the development, management and monitoring of projects. Previous involvement in the focus areas of the ACE Program would be an advantage;
Excellent computer skills - MS office software with outstanding MS excel skills in particular;
High standard of written and verbal communication skills;
Dedication and respect for confidentiality;
Flexibility with working hours - be willing to work long hours and outside of normal business hours when required, in addition to being able to travel locally and internationally;
Ability to work independently while being a team player;
Strong belief in the values of Friendship, Excellence and Respect;
High moral character and strong work ethics;
A sporting background and an understanding of a not-for-profit operating environment would be an advantage.
