YOUTH OLYMPICS
FASANOC has named a 32-member Team Fiji delegation across six sports for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, from 31 October to 13 November 2026. The team departs Fiji on 26 October.
The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) has officially announced the athletes and team officials selected to represent Team Fiji at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, from 31 October to 13 November 2026.
Following an extensive selection and justification process undertaken by the FASANOC Selection Justification Committee (SJC), and subsequent approval by the FASANOC Executive Board and Board of Management, Team Fiji will travel to Dakar with a delegation of 32 members representing six sports.

5 male and 18 female athletes, with officials including the Chef de Mission.
The final team reflects the commitment of FASANOC and its National Federations to a transparent, fair and performance-based selection process. Athletes were assessed against approved FASANOC Selection Criteria, sport-specific qualification standards, and applicable Youth Olympic Games eligibility requirements.
FASANOC congratulates all athletes selected to represent Fiji on the international stage.

FASANOC also acknowledges the athletes who were not selected despite their commitment throughout the qualification period. FASANOC thanks them for their dedication and encourages them to continue striving toward future international opportunities.
As Team Fiji enters its final preparation phase, FASANOC calls on all Fijians to rally behind and support the team as they prepare to compete against the world’s best young athletes.
Team Fiji is scheduled to depart Fiji on 26 October 2026 and return on 14 November 2026.

Under the FASANOC Selection Justification Policy, athletes and team officials may appeal if they believe they have been unfairly deprived of the opportunity to represent their sport or country as a member of a Fiji representative team under the jurisdiction of FASANOC.
An appeal must be lodged in writing, clearly stating the reasons for the appeal, with the Secretary General/CEO of FASANOC at the FASANOC Secretariat within 48 hours of the announcement of the decision being appealed. The decision of the Appeals Tribunal is binding on all parties.
