TEAM FIJI
FASANOC is proud to announce the final names of athletes and officials selected to represent Team Fiji at the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau, scheduled from 29 June to 9 July.
A total of 12 sports will be represented under Team Fiji’s banner at the Games. These include Archery, Athletics, Baseball (Men), Basketball, Para Athletics, Para Table Tennis, Swimming, Triathlon, Va'a, Indoor Volleyball (Women) and Weightlifting.
Team Fiji will comprise a total contingent of 186, which includes 73 male athletes and 63 female athletes, alongside team officials and support staff.
FASANOC acknowledges the tremendous hard work and commitment demonstrated by athletes throughout their preparation journey. Despite challenges, athletes have remained focused and disciplined, upholding the true spirit of representing Fiji with pride. Sports federations, coaches and support teams have played a vital role in supporting these athletes as they prepare for the international stage.
"This announcement is not just a list of names—it’s a celebration of months of preparation, perseverance, and passion," said Team Fiji Chef de Mission Josaia Koro. "Every athlete selected has earned their place and we commend them for their efforts. The Pacific Mini Games with the newly introduced youth quota is a great way to prepare our young athletes for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games and we look forward to building this momentum and capacity,” said Koro.
In line with FASANOC’s Selection Justification Policy, any athlete or official who believes they have been unfairly excluded from the team has the right to appeal the decision. Appeals must be submitted in writing, clearly stating the grounds for appeal, and addressed to the FASANOC Secretary General-CEO via email on ceo@fasanoc.org.fj
The deadline for submitting appeals is 11pm Sunday, 11 May 2025, and must be lodged within 48 hours of the official team announcement.
FASANOC also advises that the final traveling team will be subject to each sport successfully clearing their levies in full. FASANOC is working closely with National Federations to ensure all financial obligations are met, allowing athletes to take their well-earned place at the Games.
