FASANOC extends deepest sympathy to the Jannif family on the recent passing of their loved one Ikbal Jannif.
FASANOC extends deepest sympathy to Mrs Kelsey Jannif, son Riaz, grandchildren Nadia and Nathan and the Jannif family on the recent passing of Ikbal Jannif.
Mr Jannif was a member of the Organising Committee for the 1979 South Pacific Games that Fiji hosted. At the time, he was also Chairman of the Fiji Amateur Basketball Association as it was known then.
When Fiji next hosted the South Pacific Games in 2003, Caines Jannif came on board to support as one of the sponsors in the Nominated Provider category.
Mr Jannif also served as a Member of the Fiji Sports Council Board.
In 2017, Mr Jannif was bestowed the Companion of the Order of Fiji medal, and in 2020, the Fiji Independence Anniversary Medal for his services to Fiji.
Mr Jannif continued to support Fiji sports and at the time of his passing was an independent member of FASANOC’s Appeals Tribunal.
